Yes you are right – eaXL features are available in eaDocX Corporate and Collaboration editions. For a full list of features in each edition see https://www.eateamworks.com/pricing/

    Hi Guillaume
Apologies for the missing link. The release notes have been migrated to the new website – https://www.eateamworks.com/release-notes/.
I’ll add a link from the downloads page here too.

in reply to: Poor rendering of fonts and sizes? #9269

    Hi David.
I’m really sorry about this – it is a known feature when using eaDocX with hi-res notebooks and one which we are working on.
In the meantime, can I suggest you install the trial on a desktop machine or plug your notebook into a larger screen? That will get you going in the short term.

    Thanks

in reply to: EA 14 => how to add New Word document #9298

    Hi Tom.
eaDocX now appears in the ‘Specialize’ menu.

in reply to: License will expire in 0 days message #8921

It sounds like you have a 30 day trial version of eaDocX installed which is flagging this message.
Please make sure you have uninstalled the trial version from your machine and installed the full customer download, and then add your licence key – as described in the FAQ Article.

in reply to: Failed to validate key #9007

You can’t use a full eaDocX key with the Trial version of code.
So you need to uninstall the trial download and install the full version of eaDocX (from the Customer downloads menu), then add your new key to the full version of eaDocX you have just installed.
If the key is valid it will validate successfully.

in reply to: Incorrect ‘No More Floating Licences’ Message #7084

    Hello Sven,

I’m really sorry that this problem has arisen. Unfortunately the LSA mechanism that we have implemented to manage eaDocX floating licences hasn’t kept up with the latest Windows security practices. This means that it defaults to not releasing licences correctly. We have been unable to resolve this issue, despite working with our current crypto software partner over many months to find a fix.

An alternative could be to re-engineer our whole floating licence mechanism to use a different approach, but this is not a trivial exercise, and it would be very disruptive for all our customers.

The good news is that these problems do not arise for eaDocX Standard (fixed) or Organisational licences.
So we are offering customers who have bought eaDocX floating licences, and who are affected by this issue, an equivalent number of replacement standard or organisational licences.

Please contact the sales team (at https://store.eadocx.com/contactus) to confirm the type of key that will work best for you and arrange your replacement.

    Thank you for your understanding.

in reply to: Is 3.5 mins normal to insert one section. Why? #8252

There seems to be a misunderstanding… Your comment “Using collaboration, reviewers can only comment down to the section level” is not correct.
Any collaboration item (comment, question, vote or compliance) can be added at package, diagram, element or attribute of an element level, not just at section level.
In the web browser a reviewer can select any part of the document and the add a comment icon appears in the left hand margin of the document to allow comments to be added there. So you don’t have to change your document structure just for collaboration comments to be added.

in reply to: eaDocx compatible for Windows8 #7604

    Gunnar

The person who is currently associated with the key should use the “Contact us” form on the website to request the change. They should include their username and the licence key code that needs to be released for another user. I will then make the required changes.

    Best regards

in reply to: Table with name and desc of diagram elements #7587

    Szymon,

Open the Profile tab to see which elements have defined profiles. If the elements that appear in your diagram don’t have profiles defined then just select “Add Element” (button at the bottom of the Proflie tab) and set the formatting that you want for each element type and stereotype.

in reply to: Trial version crashed #7250

    Hello duchcha84

I’m sorry you have had a poor experience of the trial so far.
We have not heard about these kinds of issues before.
Please can you let us know what versions of EA, Word and Excel you are using? Obviously there are many different environments and s/w combinations that we try to test, but sometimes one gets through…

    Thanks
    Jackie

in reply to: Output to Excel #7146

    Hi there Pr1smiley

eaDocX Corporate edition allows you to generate EA outputs, including multiple attributes, TVs and relationships and related elements, into tables in Word or spreadsheets in Excel.
What do you need that isn’t there already?

    Regards

in reply to: Floating Licences #6816

    Hi Simon,

The licence servers for EA and eaDocX are completely independent, so eaDocX floating licences are only checked out when eaDocX is being used.
We set our floating keys to timeout and check back in to the keystore after 10 minutes of inactivity. That is why we say that a single eaDocX floating license can be shared by 3 or 4 users. eaDocX is not automatically assumed to be active just because it is installed on a machine where EA is being used.

So: Yes, EA can be started and used normally even if there are no eaDocX licences available at a particular time, and

No, if users are in EA but not using eaDocX then the eaDocX licences are not being ‘used up’ but are available for other users.

    Best Regards

    Hello

I’m sorry you had a problem. You were doing the right thing – the problem was specific to this key and was on my side. I have now sorted it and registered the key to you. Please log in again and download.
